This time we saw a lot MORE walkers opting for the shorter trail. Maybe it was the introduction of Foster's at the start. Sure makes you forget about running! The start was the Macon State College parking lot. We all stood around while Tinkerbell waited for the go signal... duh. Stupid GM! Hare was on out about 7:05. We ran through the athletic fields on campus and attracted a lot attention. We crossed I-75 and made our way down a road that paralleled the interstate until we got to the beer stop at Eisenhower Pkwy. After the campus and before the beer stop, flour was pretty scarce so a lot of us were either off trail or shortcutting, depending on how you look at it. The runners split off shortly after the beer stop and Tinkerbell did a great job because runners and walkers met up again at the Beer Near mark. We were glad to welcome Troll and his songbook to the pack. We circled up and did the customary down-downs. Afterwards we sat around and had Beer Dogs. Roadkill, who a lot of us suspected was under the influence of a new cat dessert (Pussy Whip), departed early back for his car by foot. The rest of us waited for rides and made it back to the cars at about 9:30pm. No on-after that I know of... at least they didn't tell me about it! (Damn, forgot the camera again. NASA Ass has volunteered to be Hash Flash from now on. Thanks!) |
