![]() | A decent set of running shoes. If they are new, people will expect you to drink a down down. Your shoe will be your drinking vessel. Consider yourself warned. |
Your run fee. Usually $5.00 It's also a good idea to pack a few extra bucks in case you want to go out to eat/drink/dance after the Hash.
A "run bag." This can be a gym bag or backpack (or that stylish flimsy "complimetary" shopping bag you just picked up at Kroger) with all your Hashing trash in it. You put this in the "B-Van" (B is for Beer, Bimbo, Beverage, Bag... any more?) at the beginning of the run and it will be auto-magically transported to the end by the hares.
Some dry clothes to change into after the run and a plastic bag to put your wet stinky clothes in. October thru March - Bring something warm, especially if you are running at night.
|
A flashlight for nightime runs.
Insect repellant - lots of it.
A camping (bag type) chair to sit in for the circle after the run.
A whistle, bugle, party horn, or some other noise making device to let people know you are on trail... or hopelessly lost.
Your hasher name necklace. What? You say you don't have one? Click here!
Also -- some optional items you might consider include a reflective vest for night runs, camel back, extra shoes, gloves, an extra key for your car, pen and paper, duct tape, and a clove of garlic.
